How it works
As water passes through the chamber, UV light energises the photocatalyst. This reaction creates short-lived hydroxyl radicals that neutralise microorganisms and organic matter instantly—without adding by-products or altering water chemistry.

Installation notes
- Install downstream of filtration and heating but before chemical dosing.
- Allow ~1 m service space for lamp and quartz access.
- Maintain minimum flow; add a bypass if system exceeds rated maximums.
- Use correct PVC/ABS cement and supplied O-rings on unions.
- Electrical connection by a licensed electrician with RCD protection.
Water quality guidance
Operate within recommended ranges (pH 6.8–8.0, TA 80–140 ppm, stabiliser < 50 ppm). Balanced chemistry prevents scaling or corrosion and enhances system performance.
Maintenance
Routine maintenance includes lamp replacement when output decreases, quartz sleeve cleaning, and O-ring inspection. The built-in indicator alerts when lamp service is due.

Does Quantum Purity eliminate the need for chlorine?
No. It reduces reliance on chlorine by oxidising contaminants in-line, but a small residual sanitiser must remain in the pool for continuous protection.
Is it compatible with saltwater chlorination?
Yes. Quantum Purity works seamlessly with salt chlorinators and is built from materials suitable for saltwater pools.
How do I choose the right model?

What is the typical lamp life?
Approximately 14 000 hours under normal operation; the lamp indicator provides a service reminder.
